Data collected

TransWiki is an informational site that does not require registration and does not collect personally identifiable data.

Specifically:

  • No user accounts — no registration is required to access content.
  • No profiling cookies — we do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
  • Analytics only with consent — we use analytics tools (Firebase Analytics, Datafast) to collect anonymous and aggregate data on site usage. These tools are activated exclusively after your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

For detailed information on cookie usage, see our Cookie Policy.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel (Vercel Inc., San Francisco, CA, USA). Vercel's servers may automatically collect technical browsing data (IP address, browser type, access date and time) in the form of logs. This data is processed by Vercel in accordance with their Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy.

TransWiki does not have direct access to server logs and does not use them for profiling or user identification purposes.

AI Assistant ("Ask the Wiki")

The site offers an AI assistant that answers questions about wiki content. When you use this feature:

  • Data transmitted — the text of your messages is sent to Google's servers (Gemini API) to generate responses. Relevant wiki article excerpts are also transmitted as context. No personally identifiable user data is transmitted.
  • No storage — conversations are not saved on our servers or Google's. The history exists only in the browser during the session and is deleted when the page is closed.
  • IP address — the IP address is used exclusively for rate limiting and is not stored persistently.
  • Processing by Google — messages sent to the assistant are processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms of Service. Privacy Policy e ai Termini del servizio Gemini API.

Recommendation: do not enter sensitive personal data (name, address, personal medical information) in messages to the assistant.

External links

Wiki articles contain links to external sources (scientific publications, institutional sites, news outlets). By clicking on an external link, the user leaves the TransWiki site and accesses sites subject to their own privacy policies, over which we have no control.

User rights

Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), the user has the right to:

  • Access their personal data
  • Request rectification or deletion
  • Object to processing
  • Request data portability
  • File a complaint with the supervisory authority

Since TransWiki does not collect personally identifiable data, these rights apply to a limited extent in practice. For any request: info@traidue.com
